Forest Service eyes next phase of Harris Park mitigation

The second phase, called the Deer Creek phase, of the U.S. Forest Service’s Harris Park Fuels Management Project in northeast Park County might allow the public to collect wood downed during the fuels reduction project.
South Platte Ranger District Natural Resource Staff and Project Manager Matt Schweich told The Flume that the decision will depend on whether the future contractor wants the wood.
