Commissioners eye ballot question tied to school security

The Park County commissioners and Park County Sheriff Fred Wegener discussed a proposed November 2013 ballot question at the commissioners’ special meeting on May 29.
Through the ballot question, voters would be asked to approve a 0.9 mill levy increase to property taxes. The money would provide funding for full-time school resource officers and other security measures in Park County schools.
