The fire just below the Santa Maria statue west of Shawnee had full containment by 9 p.m. Thursday, said Park County Undersheriff Monte Gore Friday morning.
“A lot of the YMCA volunteers [from Camp Santa Maria] came up with hand tools and helped kill that fire,” said Gore.
