The Lime Gulch fire south of Conifer in Jefferson County was growing quickly Wednesday afternoon.
A 3:50 p.m. update on the U.S. Forest Service fire line said that the Lime Gulch Fire was in the South Platte District of the Pike National Forest and was “estimated to be 50 acres and growing.”
It said the U.S. Forest Service had jurisdiction over the fire and an air attack had been ordered using heavy air tankers. Details at The Flume's website on where to get information via the Jeffco Sheriff's Office Twitter feed and blog, as well as the Forest Service fire line, plus a timeline of events related to the fire.
