About 60 out of 100 residents were allowed to return to their homes in the area of the Lime Gulch fire Friday night, leaving only 40 residents who were still under a Level 3 (leave immediately) evacuation and not permitted to return to their homes as of Saturday morning at 10 a.m., Jefferson County Sheriff Ted Mink told The Flume after a press conference Saturday. Ten spot fires were squelched Friday on the other side of the North Fork of the South Platte River from the main fire.
