One man is dead in a one-vehicle crash on U.S. 285 north of Shaffers Crossing.
The crash happened around 9:40 a.m. Monday when a northbound semitrailer struck a guard rail and traveled down a steep embankment on the east side of the road.
The semitrailer, hauling a box trailer full of recyclables, rolled onto its side.
