The owners of the Hartsel Springs Ranch development in central Park County are asking a bankruptcy judge to authorize the $2.2 million sale of 7,262 acres to the Elk Mountain Cattle Co., which is owned by Hartsel-area rancher Monte Vaughn Downare.
The Hartsel Springs Ranch owners are also asking that another 5,233 acres be used as collateral for a $1 million loan from Elk Mountain. Details in this week's Flume.
