Como Rendezvous re-enacts old ways - Flume

The Como Mountain Man Rendezvous does not look like an event, but a magic world.
It’s kind of like the different world that the Harry Potter books’ characters enter through Platform 9 and Three Quarters at King’s Cross station in London.
In the world of the Como Rendezvous, held this past Aug. 19-24 in South Park, each person takes on a persona with a camp name and period clothing and personality, staying in character throughout the event.
It is a re-enactment of late 1700s to early 1800s in America.
“We try to get back to early 1800s as best as we can,” said Dave “Preacher” Pohlman, who is the coordinator of the event and has an official title – Booshway (leader) of the Como Mountain Man Rendezvous.
