Elizabeth Miner, the only physical education teacher at Fitzsimmons Middle School, has been named a finalist, one out of three statewide, for the 2014 Colorado Department of Education Teacher of the Year program, said Rim Watson, the principal of Fitzsimmons Middle School, in an email.
