Park County spared so far from recent rain deluge, damage

As heavy rain and extensive flooding threatened communities across the Front Range on Thursday morning, the Park County area largely escaped the torrential downpours that forced evacuations and washed out roads and bridges elsewhere.
Early Friday morning, the National Weather Service in Denver issued a flash flood warning for northeastern Park County, the second time over the past 48 hours.
