The Jefferson County Board of Commissioners wants to know what county services are the top priorities for residents.
As the county commissioners begin finalizing the 2014 county budget they must balance increasing costs with tight revenues. They would like feedback from residents as to what services are the most important and should be funded with the limited county revenues.
Citizens will have an opportunity to provide this valuable feedback and ask questions from the comfort of their homes in a telephone town hall meeting Wednesday, October 9 from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m.
Calls will be placed to 100,000 randomly selected phone numbers of residents both in unincorporated areas of Jefferson County and in the towns and cities within Jeffco.
During the hour-long telephone meeting residents can address their priorities for budget dollars as well as the county’s mill levy, requests for added funding for the sheriff’s office, and an initiative by a group to increase the number of county commissioners.
Those who do not receive a phone call can still participate by calling 877-229-8493 during the meeting and using PIN 110646.
