Deputy suffers broken jaw during attack at jail

An inmate who was being held in Park County Jail allegedly broke a deputy’s jaw during an attack on Nov. 15.
Thomas L. Mercado, 23, was charged with second degree assault and second degree assault on a peace officer, both Class 4 felonies, according to an affidavit for arrest warrant signed by Park County Jail Detentions Corporal Z. Robertson.
