EPRD Presents Community Appreciation Night: Feb. 7 Party features Free Skating, Hot Chocolate & Olympic Opening Ceremony

Evergreen, CO (Jan. 17, 2014) --
Evergreen Park & Recreation District (EPRD) is celebrating its mountain neighbors with Community Appreciation Night -- skating, Olympics, cold and hot refreshment and fireworks! -- on Friday, Feb. 7, 2014 from 6-9 pm at Evergreen Lake House.

Come enjoy free: ice skating on our huge outdoor rink (with 12 hockey ricks!), recently honored by CNN as one of the top 10 scenic skating rinks in the world; brooms and balls, and hot chocolate! Free skate rentals are subject to availability -- bring yours if you have them.

Free shuttle parking will be available at the former Albertson's supermarket off the Evergreen Parkway at Lewis Ridge Road.

As an alternative to skating, the Sochi Winter Olympics Opening Ceremony will be broadcast on two new flat screen TVs inside Evergreen Lake House beginning at 6:30 pm). Tivoli Beer will be available for sale, as well as food from Keys on the Green, the Lake House food vendor. The fireworks go off at 8:30 pm out on the ice.
