Stretches of U.S. 285 between Fairplay and Kenosha Pass were closed Jan. 13 and Jan. 14 as a powerful winter storm brought strong winds, causing some schools and offices in Park County to close and prompting judges to reschedule numerous court cases at the courthouse in Fairplay.
