Fire damages key line, causes widespread outages

A barn fire in Bailey is being blamed for damaging a fiber optic line and disrupting Internet access, cable TV and phone service for thousands of people who subscribe to services from CenturyLink, Verizon and Comcast.
Platte Canyon Fire Protection District crews responded shortly after 10 a.m. on Jan. 17 to the fire at a horse shed on the property of Tony and Aide Spade on Quakie Way in Bailey. Details in this week's Flume.
