The Colorado Department of Education on Jan. 14 released the official 2013 enrollment figures for Colorado’s 178 school districts, with Bailey-based Platte Canyon School District ranking 72nd in the state for overall student count and Fairplay-based Re-2 School District ranking 90th. Enrollment in the Platte Canyon district fell by 58 year-over-year, to 1,031 students, a 5.3 percent drop – the 15th biggest drop in the state. Details in this week's Flume.
