I just read this story and I am a little confused...I thought Sheriff Fred was on his last term and could not run again.

The story states that he would be running against Sheriff Fred.

Park county doesn't have term limits like Jefferson county does.

The silent majority will be silent no more.

As I recall, I think Weggener said it was his last term but it appears he has changed his mind. I'm kind of surprised, as it seems like Gore was being groomed to run. He is the public face of the department, writing all the letters and doing all the press statements/conferences.

I thought it would be Gore or the former idiot Commissioner Tighe who has spent time greasing the wheels by giving the PCSO everything they wanted as Commish and then having a job waiting for him when he left office. You know the Commish just loves the limelight.

It is time for a new sheriff but you aren't going to get one. The Repubs will only back one of their own, not an Independent.
