We set May 7th as our next get together (Wednesday evening) at Marcel's to arrive between 6-6:30PM. Please respond and let us know if you can make it or not.
As we discussed, we need to focus on the basics.... spread the word about what this club is and can do, find a few good people and just a couple of activities that we can build on to fund needed programs to help the children in our communities. We have lots of programs and lots of kids we can serve... we just need to find the right people who would like to help us.
Our plan, as discussed:
- Share the word about what the Optimist Club is about, what we can and will do
- Recruit a few good new Optimists at some of the local events such as Bailey Day, in Conifer and at the local businesses
- Elect New Officers for October
- Decide on and promote a Summer activity (such as a community picnic/fair) for sometime in July or early August.
