Pennsylvania Mountain Natural Area is a dramatic and beautiful 500+acres surrounded on three sides by public land near Fairplay, Colorado. These lands, located near an existing subdivision are vulnerable to residential development. In a multiphase project, Mountain Area Land Trust (MALT) is working to conserve the land and water resources and continue ongoing scientific research conducted by more than a hundred scientists for over 37 years - one of the longest term alpine research sites in the country.
