The South Park Shooting Association has been managing the South Park Shooting Range for Park County for almost a year. In June, every member of the SPSA board of directors resigned due to a lack of a formal, signed operating agreement with the county.
At a meeting on June 17, the SPSA formally announced that it will no longer be responsible for range oversight.
The SPSA board is concerned about legal liabilities. Without an operating agreement and insurance to cover the operators accountability, individual board members could be personally liable for accidents that occur at the range.
