We invite you to an evening of classical music by Lloyd Roger Grubaugh at Conifer Community Church on the evening of 19 September, 2014. Proceeds will benefit JOY International.
Pianist Lloyd Roger Grubaugh is a graduate of the UCLA college of fine arts (1974) with a bachelor's in Music / Piano Performance. He studied with world-renowned music master Aube Tzerko for seven years. Tzerko's main teacher was Artur Schnabel, who was a student of Teodor Leschetizky, who was a student of Carl Czerny, who was a student of Ludwig von Beethoven. Roger has spent most of his life playing popular music under another name.
Here is a sample of what he sounds like playing:
We ask that you please consider a donation of $20 for an hour of beautiful, musical melody and to benefit a worthy cause, JOY International
. Thank you for your generosity!
We hope that you can come and help out Joy. The Conifer area rarely has an event as special as a classical piano master. If you are a fan of classical music, or would like to experience it live for the first time, you won't be disappointed.
JOY International also has this beautiful quilt that's been donated to auction off.
If you are interested, they will be bringing it Friday to show off! The lady who made it was inspired by one of Dr. Jeff's favorite quotes, listed at the top of his website, "From the withered tree, a flower blooms."
"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther
The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it. ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is. ~Winston Churchill
I hope to see many of you tonight for what I anticipate will be a wonderful evening for a great cause!
