Marijuana license continued, new ordinance introduced

Holistical, LLC’s marijuana cultivation license was continued in order to check documentation of a Georgia pardon for an assault charge against owner, Jason Cranford.

Park County Board of County Commissioners heard the license application on Nov. 13 and continued the hearing until Dec. 4.
The license application is for commercial property located at 375 Kokanee Road in the Four Mile Fishing Club subdivision south of Fairplay and east of U.S. Highway 285.

Cranford received a conditional use permit for the property from Park County in July 2013 in order to cultivate marijuana. Since then Park County’s regulations have changed and marijuana businesses are allowed on commercial property.

It is surrounded on three sides by commercially zoned land and enclosed with a nine-feet-high privacy fence.

Commissioner Dick Hodges said he also wanted time to check the credibility of testimony presented by Cranston’s former partner, Chris Connors, in a different company that makes packaging for marijuana products.

Hodges said he wanted to verify some of the contradictory statements presented during the hearing.
