South Park Seniors Inc. (not to be confused with the Park County Senior Coalition, a different and unrelated organization) has two groups claiming to be its legal board of directors and a move by former contract bookkeeper Kim Wittbrodt has placed the issue into the Park County District Court.
SPS Inc. is embroiled in a power struggle between Roger Wright and Virginia Leigner, both asserting to be president of the organization. Leigner’s directors consist of the original board members while Wright has seated a new slate of directors.
As reported in The Flume last week by members of each side, Colorado East Bank and Trust closed the center’s bank account. Both groups claimed rightful access to the center’s funds and bank officials declined to be in the middle of the conflict.
