About this Update
On December 12, 2012, the Jefferson County Planning Commission adopted an update to the Jefferson County Comprehensive Master Plan (CMP). This plan contains general policies that apply to development anywhere in unincorporated Jefferson County. Currently, Planning and Zoning is incorporating the community plans into the Comprehensive Master Plan. Plans recently updated and incorporated into the master plan include the North Plains , Central Plains , South Plains , North Mountains , Central Mountains , and Indian Hills Area Plans . The next plans to be updated include the Evergreen Area and Conifer/285 Community Plans . The Evergreen Area Community Plan Update is in the preliminary information gathering stage. Staff has been creating stakeholders lists, timelines and maps. In the near future, staff will be evaluating the existing and currently recommended future land uses in the area to determine whether there are areas of potential change. Staff will then hold community meetings to discuss the land use maps and existing plan policies. Meeting dates will be posted on this website and notification will be sent or emailed to people who sign up for community plan updates.

How to make a comment or get involved
If you have a comment on the draft plan, questions about the process or would like to be contacted about future meetings, please complete the Community Plan Notification Form and we will add you to our contact list. This information is used only for dispersing information regarding the Evergreen Area Community Plan update and will not be used for other purposes.

Hello,

This email is a gentle reminder about the next Evergreen Area Community Plan Update meeting, scheduled for Tuesday, June 16, 2015. The meeting location remains the same (the Evergreen Fire Rescue Building in Bergen Park), as does the 6:15 start time.

The topic for this meeting is Land Use. At this meeting we will present “preliminary” Draft Land Use recommendation maps. These maps will include proposed revisions to the Activity Centers, as well as land use recommendations for all land within the Evergreen Plan boundaries.

The Evergreen Area Plan Update Webpage has been updated with the draft maps and presentation from the June 16th meeting. There will not be a meeting in July to give all parties a chance to examine these draft maps and send in comments. Please send in your comments by July 31, 2015 so that the comments can be addressed in time for the next meeting!

The next meeting will be on August 25th, at 6:15 PM in the Evergreen Fire Rescue Admin Building (same location as always). We will be presenting revised maps at this meeting.

Hello all,

This is a gentle reminder that the next meeting for the Evergreen Area Plan Update will be on Tuesday, August 25th, at 6:15 PM in the Evergreen Fire Rescue Admin Building (same location as always). We will be presenting revised maps at this meeting.

We did not receive many comments during the hiatus, so please make sure to attend if you have any comments or concerns about the draft land use maps. I anticipate the meeting to be fairly short, and will focus on the changes made to the maps based upon comments received.

The meeting will be an Open House format, so please feel free to stop by anytime from 6:15 PM until 8:15 PM. The Evergreen Plan is scheduled to be brought before the Planning Commission on December 9th, 2015.

At the Open House, we will solicit input on the latest draft of the Plan. (The latest draft of the Evergreen Plan is attached to this email.) Maps will be available for inspection at the Open House as well.

The latest draft of the Evergreen Plan is attached to this email. The changes from the earlier draft are shown in red. The changes are mostly limited to the Marshdale Neighborhood Center, and the addition of policies related to the Lariat Loop Scenic Byway.
