Evergreen, CO – May 15, 2015 – Evergreen Christian Outreach (EChO) and Mountain Resource Center have teamed up for the third time in 2 years to host another Mountain Area Job Fair for the Conifer and Evergreen communities. This year they are partnering with the American Job Center. The event is free and open to all community members. Participating job seekers will have access to nearly 50 local employers looking to hire talented candidates in various industries. The job fair will also feature informational booths with volunteer opportunities, local resources, financial consultants, and educational opportunity counselors. Registration for job seekers and employers is available online at
www.mountainareajobs.org
or by calling (303) 670-7123.
Mountain Resource Center’s Workforce Program and the EChO Jobs Center provide free, on-going workshops that help individuals with their job search needs. Job seekers can attend classes on resume writing, interview skills, and internet job searching. Vocational Counselors, Career Advisors, and Job Coaches also offer career assessments, application assistance, one-on-one computer help, and an extensive “Career Closet” with free interview clothes and business attire.
Starting April 28, 2015 EChO Jobs Center and Mountain Resource Center’s Workforce Program will be offering a series of career workshops to help prepare job seekers for the event. The Prepare for the Fair series will focus on resume writing, interview skills, and job readiness training that can be applied immediately for a successful job fair experience. These skills will help job seekers on the day of the event, as well as with future job search efforts.
Job seekers from last year’s Mountain Area Job Fair described the event as “a window of opportunity for anyone who is seeking employment” with “good companies and many excellent opportunities”.
Local partners include the Conifer and Evergreen Chambers of Commerce and the American Job Center of Jefferson, Clear Creek, and Gilpin counties.
