Two meetings on security and school safety were held at the Lake George Charter School on Thursday evening, April 16, to inform parents of measures the school is taking to protect their children.
Following the formal meeting, three volunteers, John Bartlett, Keith Lance and Rex Oliver, all of whom have trained to perform the duties of resource officers, were acknowledged by the school’s parent-teacher organization Lion’s Pride.
Each was given a book of writings and drawings made by the students in recognition of their service throughout the 2014-2015 school year.
Since last school year, and following several safety reviews, the school has incorporated numerous security measures to protect children.
