Woodside district roads will not be completed as planned

Park County Commissioners formed a local improvement district with seventeen homeowners in Woodside Park Unit 5 to split costs of chip sealing Meadow Drive and Vista Lane, a project started in 2014.

The project was virtually stopped May 14 because Commissioner Mark Dowaliby said he was unwilling to use any county resources to complete the project until all priority roads throughout the county had been improved.

The county completed the road base for the chip seal project in 2014. Three layers of chip seal were to be completed this summer.

Under the 2014 resolution that formed the Woodside Local Improvement District, homeowners would pay for materials, estimated at $70,610, and the county would provide the equipment and labor.
