Friday, May 15, the Fitzsimmons Interact Club, a service organization run and managed by middle school students, presented a check to Carol Carper, an Evergreen Rotary Club member, who travels to Kenya once a year to help upgrade small African communities.
The check totaled $1,000 and will go toward building a fresh water protected spring and a latrine in Got Osimbo, Kenya.
