There are two retail marijuana stores in the Bailey area and if the county approves Chester Rodell’s application, there will be a third shop at 66803 U.S. Highway 285, the site of the former Reggie’s Will-O-the-Wisp restaurant.
There was a public hearing in front of the Board of County Commissioners May 28 and the commissioners will make a decision on the permit in the near future. A full report of that hearing will be in the June 5 Flume.
“I have over 150 signatures on a petition in support of my business,” Rodell said.
Under the business name Canna Cabana, Rodell is applying for a recreational-only license. It is his intention to sell recreational products while he is ramping up his inventory of self-produced cannabidiol products.
