Apogaea withdraws outdoor event permit application

Apogaea withdrew two outdoor event permit applications one day before the scheduled Park County commissioner’s approval hearing May 21.

Apogaea had been approved by the planning commission May 12, but the 48-hour safety training and site set-up called Safetygaea application was denied.

The staff reports, prepared by Planning Consultant Greg Thompson, and Sheila Cross, county development services director, recommended approval of both Safetygaea and Apogaea’s four-day arts and music festival. Three days separated the two events.

Berger Land Company, located on County Road 68 where the event was to be held, and Apogaea both submitted a withdrawal request.
