A petition with more than 630 signatures requesting a moratorium on new marijuana licenses was submitted to Park County’s Board of County Commissioners at its weekly meeting June 11.
The petition states that persons signing request “Park County prohibit any new marijuana related businesses until a long term comprehensive plan can be developed which is in harmony with the current and upcoming Strategic Master Plan and its vision for the enduring rural character of Park County and its residents.”
Shawnee resident Pam Jacobus submitted the petition during public comment at the end the June 11 meeting.
