Matthew Shepherd, 30, and Carrie Redding, 31, both of Bailey, were arrested on multiple outstanding warrants across multiple jurisdictions, ranging from distribution of a controlled substance to domestic violence.
July 8, at 1:54 a.m., an officer from the town of Mountain View Police Department (in Jefferson County, northwest of Denver) was conducting a routine patrol in the area of 44th Avenue and Sheridan Boulevard. He observed a vehicle driving southbound in an erratic manner.
The officer tried to initiate a routine traffic stop and the driver made an evasive left turn and crashed into a parked vehicle on 43rd Avenue.
