A stricter ordinance than the one adopted in 2012 was approved by Park County’s Board of County Commissioners July 23 on a final reading for medical marijuana caregivers and registered individuals growing their own medical marijuana.
The ordinance’s introduction and first reading was approved June 25.
The ordinance does not apply to Park County licensed medical or retail facilities that are governed by much stricter county and state regulations.
Two main differences are the ordinance applies to any structure in any zone district where medical marijuana is grown and limits the number of plants to 36.
