Another dead body was discovered in Park County last week.
Friday afternoon, at 2:39 p.m., a call was made to 911 about a lifeless body found in a car near Guanella Pass, off County Road 62, to the north about three miles on Forest Service Road 119.
According to radio traffic among local agencies July 24, four campers in the area discovered the body in a 2002 Mazda.
It was later confirmed to The Flume by the Park County Coroner’s Office that the deceased was a male and had been dead about a week. The identity and age of the deceased were not released to The Flume by press time.
Toxicology has been sent out of the county for laboratory testing and results are expected in a week or two.
