Anthony Miller, owner of Hot Leaf, LLC, received a marijuana cultivation license for property located north of U.S. Highway 24 and east of State Highway 9 just west of Hartsel.
The commissioners approved the license Aug. 6.
Miller is currently leasing the 35-acre parcel and a similarly sized adjacent parcel north of the property. He has an option to buy both parcels if the license was approved.
Currently, there are no buildings on either parcel and no signage identifying it as a cultivation facility would be erected on the property or at the access point.
