Course description: Students will meet Plein air (outdoors) in locations around Evergreen, CO every Wednesday throughout September - 9,16,23,30. In class Don will show how to simplify the complex landscape into simple pieces. These pieces will be seen as spots of color, value and temperature. Don will demonstrate and help each student at their own level and pace. Painting locations will be emailed to students prior to class. Students are requested to arrive at location one hour before class begins to set up and be ready to paint at 9:00am. Autumn Delight Plein Air Oil Painting

Course description: Enjoy a three-day OIL PAINTING plein air (open air) workshop taught by award winning American Impressionist, Tricia Bass (see www.TriciaBass.com ). Designed for all levels, the class will focus on outdoor painting with study emphasis on color and value comparison, simplification and accelerated painting methods for rendering a quick study. Sunday will include a discussion of composition and design problems to challenge the more advance students. All levels will be comfortable with personal instruction adjusted to your ability. Plan to have three days of hard work and loads of fun, with a wine and cheese social on your final day. Transportation is required to travel to various locations. Directions will be provided. Be prepared for all weather conditions.
