The South Park National Heritage Area received $300,000 from the National Park Service to help implement its management plan activities in 2015 and will see help from the Park County commissioners. On Aug. 27, the commissioners approved use of the funding for a total of $681,000 in projects.
Expenditures listed in the staff report include five categories. Total matching funds and in-kind services are $380,999, which is a little more than the 50 percent match required by the National Park Service.
