Have you ever wondered how a major art exhibition comes together? No magic wand or polite requests alone, but years of intrigue, travel, building relationships, and clever persuasion are often behind these wonderful exhibits. On October 28th at CAE, Dr. Timothy Standring will share his unique tales of curating the upcoming exhibit "Wyeth: Andrew and Jamie in Studio" which opens at the ‪Denver Art Museum‬ on November 8, 2015.
Dr. Standring is the Gates Foundation Curator of Painting and Sculpture at the Denver Art Museum. He's a lively and humorous presenter with behind the scene tales to tell. Since he began at the museum in 1989, Dr. Standring has curated ten other shows for DAM, including Becoming Van Gogh, Inspiring Impressionism, and Sargent and Italy.
Please join us at Center for the Arts Evergreen on October 28th at 6pm to hear Dr. Standring present. Tickets are $10 each and the proceeds will go towards CAE's Capital Campaign for a new art center in Evergreen. Refreshments at 6pm. The talk will begin at 6:30pm.
