Abstracts Painting Enhanced
November 28, 2015
Saturday, 9:00 am-12:30 pm
Intermediate
Instructor: Melanie Warsinske-Nuchols
Course description: The class is excellent for artists who are 'stuck in a rut' and want to break out of old habits and learn ways to make their paintings more exciting and expressive. There are no limits to the creative process in abstract painting, yet it's easy to fall into the 'comfort zone' and often intimidating to move to the next level. Class members are welcome to bring paintings in progress, old paintings needing enhancements or critique, or paintings to begin in class. Group as well as individualized instruction will be given. Don't just be satisfied with your 'under painting' – take it step or two or 'ten' beyond.
Supplies: Multiple canvases of choice or current paintings in progress (16x20" or 12x12" can be purchased from instructor), Oil or acrylic paint, different sized palette knives & brushes, paint palette, paper towels, mediums & textures of choice (pre-textured or mixed media prepared canvases are welcome). Please let instructor know your choice of floor easel or table.
