With 951 votes to spare, Referendum 5A passed in Tuesday’s election, allowing the Platte Canyon Fire Protection District an additional $286,805 in revenue via a 2.9 mill levy increase.
“On behalf of the Platte Canyon Fire Protection District, I want to thank everyone who voted in support of 5A,” Wesseldine said in a statement to The Flume. “Your support and help in passing our mill levy increase is very much appreciated. I want to thank all the Friends of Platte Canyon who supported and worked so diligently on 5A.”
