Bailey Cowboy Christmas always family fun

The Christmas season in downtown Bailey will kick off Dec. 6, when the Platte Canyon Area Chamber of Commerce presents Cowboy Christmas at Rustic Square and McGraw Memorial Park.

This is the first year that the chamber is sponsoring the event, which starts at noon and ends with a community tree lighting and parade around 6 p.m.

Due to the always-present possibility of cold and inclement weather, there will be no vendors this year. Ann McQueen, one of the volunteers for this year’s event explained.

“Last year we had the vendors in the feed store,” McQueen said. “But the feed store was sold and we don’t have a place to use indoors this year.”
