How do you spell giving, resourceful, admirable, caring, involved and exceptional? According to the Platte Canyon Area Chamber of Commerce it’s spelled Lynn Griffin, winner of this year’s GRACIE Award.
Every year the chamber honors a local businessperson with the award. The GRACIE was created in 2006 in honor of Gracie Trast, a Park County resident known for her involvement in the community, especially with respect to helping children with developmental disabilities.
“I was totally surprised, totally,” Griffin said. “My business has been so much busier in the last year that I haven’t really been as involved in the chamber as I was in previous years and so I just figured. Previous years I didn’t expect it because I wasn’t involved very long and so this year I really didn’t expect it.”
