The Park County Office of Emergency Management will hold a training exercise in January that will help prepare personnel for responding to emergencies during a severe winter storm.
An incident command center will be set up to coordinate response as one would be during a real storm emergency.
Emergency Manager Gene Stanley asked the commissioners to take part in the exercise as part of the county response team Dec. 30.
He said their presence in training is important because the commissioners have designated responsibilities and must sign certain documents during a real emergency.
