At the February 2016 meeting of the Platte Canyon School District, the school board took time to highlight and recognize some very special teachers, students and administrators.
School Superintendent Dr. Brenda Krage issued a certificate of appreciation to Platte Canyon High School teacher Hugh Miller and the student who participated in the “We the People” finals at the state capital. Miller chairs the social study department and is the school’s rugby coach.
“It’s been an amazing program for the children,” Miller said. “They basically go through a six unit textbook, learning all from the theory of government up to amendments and court cases and they become little mini lawyers.”
