Commissioners approve Mad Jack’s Mountain Brewery liquor license

Mad Jack’s Mountain Brewery is planning a Grand Opening on Memorial Day weekend. The brewery will be located at 23 Main Street in Bailey. The location was formerly Bailey Garden Center.

Owner Jack Hansell, Bailey resident, received his brewery liquor license from Park County commissioners on Feb. 18.

Hansell is retired from Molson Coors and has home brewed beer for 20 years. He has general certificates in brewing and packaging and is a member of the Brewers Association. At the meeting, Hansell said the certificates are equivalent to a bachelors degree.

The existing building will become the pub/ale house and the greenhouse will be used for growing hops and vegetables. There will also be outside tables, fire pits, an outdoor games area for all ages and an arch way with climbing plants.
