Commissioners approve technology improvements around county

The Park County Board of County Commissioners focused mainly on technology at its March 31 meeting.

The board unanimously approved an agreement with Verizon to co-locate facilities at or on the Park County communication facility.

Commissioner Mark Dowalibly asked County Administrator Tom Eisenman, present at the meeting, if it was going to improve cell service in Fairplay.

“The focus is to have better conductivity with the location at Red Hill,” Eisenman said. “It will probably benefit the whole area.”

Hodges wanted to confirm that other companies could co-locate at the site as well.
