In response to the recent death of Park County Sheriff’s Office Corporal Nate Carrigan, community leaders and the Park County Sheriff’s Office have joined together to organize a fundraiser to help the department purchase updated personal protective equipment and enhance the training budget for the deputies.
The event will take place in Bailey April 30 at Tomahawk Ranch (2113 County Road 43) from 1-8 p.m. There will be continuous music throughout the day, with musical acts including Kicked to the Curb and special guests.
Co-organizers for the event are Jeanne Hart and Ellen Stoddard-Keyes. Stoddard-Keyes explained the purpose of the event.
“All proceeds will be used to enhance the training budget and also help with personal safety equipment for officers, which often needs to be replaced,” Stoddard-Keyes said. “It is well known that ongoing training is critical for all first responder agencies across the country and our local sheriff’s office is one of many.”
