The 2015 Colorado Press Association Better Newspaper Contest results were announced May 14 at the CPA’s 138th Annual Convention in Lakewood, and Arkansas Valley Publishing Company made its mark.
AVP publishes The Flume, The Chaffee County Times, the (Leadville) Herald Democrat and The Mountain Mail in Salida.
This year, the CPA eliminated several categories as well as the third place award for all categories, so competition was hotter than usual. More than 500 total entries were submitted in all of the 10 circulation classes.
