Fourth of July 2016 Schedule of Events
Indian Hills 4th of July Celebration:

To commemorate our nation's birthday this year, Indian Hills Fire Rescue will be keeping some 4th of July favorites, like the pancake breakfast and parade, and adding some new events, like the Indian Hills 5K Fun Run, picnic in the park, and 3rd of July movie in the park. Come join us for a special celebration.
JULY 3 MOVIE IN THE PARK 6:00 pm - 10:30 pm
A free showing of Zootopia and picnic in Arrowhead Park.

JULY 4
5K FUN RUN 7:00 am - 10:30 am
A run through Indian Hills to benefit the fire department.
PANCAKE BREAKFAST - 7:00 am - 11:00 am
Breakfast at the station hosted by the firefighters.

AUTO EXTRICATION - 9:00 am
A demonstration by the firefighters on the helipad.
KIDS' FUN RUN - 9:15 am
A free race at Arrowhead Park for kids ages 2-10.
HELICOPTER FLY-IN - 9:45 am - 10:45 am
A demonstration on the helipad.
PARADE - 11:00 am - 1:00 pm
A traditional parade down Parmalee Gulch Rd.
PICNIC IN THE PARK - 11:30 am - 2:30 pm
A festival at Arrowhead Park featuring rides, a dunk tank, food vendors, cornhole tournament, giant Jenga game, Bingo, faux calf roping, and music by Tony Fiore.

Please note that Parmalee Gulch Rd. will be closed on Monday, July 4 from approximately 10:45 am - 1 pm between Parmalee Elementary School and the Indian Hills Post Office in order to accommodate the annual 4th of July parade. Please plan your transportation accordingly.

City of Golden 4th of July Celebration
The Golden Lions Club will be hosting the 4th of July community celebration in Lions Park again this year. Activities begin at noon and include free rides for the kids, face painting, music provided by several bands throughout the day, and a large fireworks display in the evening.

The celebration is a day for families, friends and neighbors to get together at the beautiful park on 10th Street to picnic or purchase food and drink and enjoy all the festivities. Stick around after dark for fireworks (weather permitting)!

4th of July Festival Bands

12:15 – 3:00: The Johnny O Band (Blues)
3:30 – 6:00: Ryan Chrys & the Rough Cuts (Modern Outlaw Country)
6:30 – 9:15: Something Underground (Rock)

Help us celebrate Independence Day with a bang! The City of Golden will put on a fireworks display starting approximately 9:35 p.m., weather permitting. The fireworks can be best viewed from along the creek and the Lions Park Ballfields.

Follow us on Facebook or Twitter @CityofGolden to be the first in the know if a delay or cancellation is required due to wind or other unfavorable conditions. If the fireworks show does have to be canceled, it will be rescheduled at a later time.

Georgetown Loop Railroad
Our annual 4th of July train ride and BBQ buffet. The train departs from the Silver Plume station at 6:00 pm. Hear the story of Clear Creek while you travel down to the Georgetown Devil's Gate station. Enjoy a BBQ buffet, then re-board the train and return by 8:00 pm. Cost is $49.95 for adults, and $32.95 for children, ages 3-15

Celebration at Citizens Park In Idaho Springs, 31545 Miner St, Idaho Springs
Stroll through our unique shops, visit historic landmarks, tour museums, pan for gold, or experience a little adventure on Clear Creek's rapids, atv's, train, or zipline!

In Georgetown, there will be a morning parade followed by a picnic, entertainment, and other special events. And be sure to stay for the fireworks over Georgetown Lake this year.

Idaho Springs will be hosting an afternoon BBQ and live music downtown in Citizens Park from 2-9pm, and be sure to stay for the fireworks over the Charlie Taylor Waterwheel this year.

Silver Plume's Annual 4th of July Ice Cream Social will be held from 2-4 pm at Dinger's Park and Pavilion on Main Street, across from the George Rowe Museum. There will be an assortment of baked goods, ice cream and beverages. Proceeds will benefit People for Silver Plume, Inc. and historic preservation.

Mt Evans Freedom 5K Run
Race and Arrival Time
The race begins promptly at 8:00 a.m. at Evergreen Middle School, 2059 Hiwan Dr., Evergreen. Be sure to arrive at least 45 minutes early to allow time to park and walk to the start line. If you haven’t yet picked up your t-shirt, bib, and timing chip, you can do so at the start line. Onsite registration opens at 6:45 a.m.

To Reach the Start Line
From Denver, exit I-70 west onto Evergreen Parkway (Exite 252). Proceed on Hwy. 74 east 3.5 miles to Bergen Parkway (the fifth light from I-70). Turn left and volunteers will direct you to parking.

Parking and Shuttle Information
Please allow 20 to 30 minutes to walk to the start line from the parking area. After the race, free van transportation will be provided from the finish line back to the parking lot between 9 and 11 a.m.

Course
The scenic 5K (3.1-mile) course follows gently rolling terrain through residential areas, beginning at Evergreen Middle School and ending with a festive finish line at Nick’s Pro Fitness. Runners will start at 8 a.m., followed by walkers. In the interest of safety and fairness to competitive runners, strollers and leashed dogs will only be allowed at the back of the walk.

Post-Race Party
Race participants and their families and friends are invited to join the finish-line festivities at Nick’s Pro Fitness. Enjoy refreshments, music, prizes, and lots of clean mountain air! The party features fun activities for kids of all ages including a bounce house, face painting, balloon sculptures, games, music, and various vendors.

Join the fun at the annual 4th of July Family Festival & Fireworks! The fun begins at 3 p.m. with field games and family-friendly activities all afternoon. The 21st annual Fourth of July Family Festival and Fireworks Show will be held on Saturday, July 4, 2016 at Belleview, Progress and Cornerstone Parks, near the intersection of Belleview and Windermere.
There will be plenty of food, fun and entertainment, games and a fantastic fireworks show for families and friends at this free event sponsored by the cities of Englewood and Littleton, Arapahoe County and South Suburban Parks and Recreation. Additional financial support is provided by the City of Sheridan.

A variety of food concessions will be available in Belleview and Cornerstone parks. At approximately 9:30 p.m., the spectacular fireworks show will be launched from the baseball fields at Cornerstone Park. There will be many activities for the entire family.

The fireworks show will go on rain or shine unless there is a tornado, severe thunderstorm warning or high winds. Delays up to 10 p.m. will be considered but if the fireworks are cancelled, they will not be rescheduled. Check the City of Littleton and City of Englewood social media sites for updates.
