Two men from Colorado have been charged after a 15-year-old girl said she was sexually assaulted in St. Cloud during the Fourth of July weekend.
Officers spoke with the girl, who said she had been assaulted by two people early that morning at a home on Sierra Lane in St. Cloud. The suspects were identified as 19-year-old Ryan Wesley Rees and 18-year-old Wyatt Maxwell Swindler of Bailey, Colorado.
Rees and Swindler have each been charged with two counts of third-degree criminal sexual conduct. If convicted, they each face up to 15 years in prison and $30,000 in fines on the first charge and up to five years in prison and $30,000 in fines on the second charge.
Swindler’s next court appearance is scheduled for Aug. 1, and Rees’ next court appearance is scheduled for Sept. 2.
